BPOTY 2022 Selection Preview

More than 20,000 images were submitted to Bird Photographer of the Year 2022, making for another fantastic year of the competition.

The photography community’s continued support of the competition means that we have donated a further £5,000 to our partner charity Birds on the Brink. They provide vital monetary grants for grass-roots conservation projects to protect birds.

The winners of the BPOTY 2022 competition will be announced on the 8th September at our awards ceremony in Bristol, UK. The event will be live-streamed and free to watch, with the option to attend in person. More information to follow.

But for now, we’ve got something to whet your appetite: a sneak peak at 11 of the images included in Collection 7 for this year’s competition!

The images shown here are just some of the chosen images from Collection 7, and their inclusion here does not signify what award level they have achieved in the competition.
